Teaching Assistant for Data Engineering I & II

  • Assisted in teaching “Data Engineering I” (1TD169) and “Data Engineering II” (1TD076) (Jan 2026 – Jun 2026) at Uppsala University.
  • Responsibilities
    • Ran drop-in help sessions (2–3 per course) for lab assignments covering Hadoop MapReduce, distributed data processing with Apache Spark, data stream processing with Apache Pulsar, and MLOps.
    • Supported roughly 200 students in Data Engineering I and 100 in Data Engineering II.
    • Graded lab assignments for both courses.
    • Pre-tested each lab assignment myself before students reached it, since the labs lean heavily on cloud/VM provisioning and software installation, and most of the questions I fielded were environment and setup problems rather than conceptual ones since no two students’ machines were configured quite the same way.
